Over at Blastr:TNT's Fall: Human Target-ish series plus post-pandemic thriller After going full-on sci-fi with the alien-invasion hit Falling Skies, TNT is ramping up a few more sci-fi-ish projects that could make it to air this fall. Among them? A post-pandemic thriller about a virus that takes out half the planet, and a new action drama that sounds quite a bit like Fox's late, comic-based Human Target. The Last Ship, with Michael Bay directing, will follow crewmembers of a naval destroyer who wind up among the last survivors on Earth after a virus decimates the population. The Last Ship sounds interesting (except for the word decimates).
The Last Ship: In this exciting action/adventure project based on the popular novel by William Brinkley, the crew of a naval destroyer is forced to confront the reality of a new existence when a pandemic decimates most of the earth's population. Michael Bay (Transformers) intends to direct the pilot if it is green lit. Executive Producers: Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Hank Steinberg (showrunner and writer) and Steve Kane (writer). Production Company: Platinum Dunes.
