Any fans of this show? I think it's in Season 6 now, and there doesn't seem to be a loss of quality.
Very good show.

Big fan, always comes at the right time in Summer as well. This season has started very well. Two tense episodes so far. Looks like they've changed the format of the show. They haven't had a client yet!

Interesting--I actually didn't notice that, but you're right.
The show remains strong. I wonder how many more years it has.

I think they were renewed until season 7, so safe for another year at least. It being a summer show I can't imagine the competition is fierce.
Saw the trail for this weeks, which looks like it is about his CIA friend, so that would make it 3 weeks with no clients,

Doesn't it air 2 split seasons? No way it has been 40 plus weeks since the last season.
Good episode this week. It may be possible that there are no clients this year.

It does look like the stories this year are character based rather than client. Although was quite an unusual episode as there was no real sense of danger to any of the characters this week. According to the trail there's a 2 week break, which seems odd after only 3 episodes.

That's possibly because of 4th of July weekend.
Fiona is in prison, so that's obvious danger, and Jesse was in danger too.

Not last weeks episode. Jesse just took pills to imitate symptoms of meningitis.

Maybe it's just when I watched and the mood I was in, but I didn't think this week's Burn Notice was as good as prior weeks. It wasn't bad, but I feel the quality has been higher this season overall, and considering they advertised the death of a character, it just wasn't that great.
Can't comment as to which character was killed without a spoiler. Overall, the death just seemed to be there to be there, but it's pretty clear that they are setting up the next phase of the show, which actually is very important.
One plotline ends, another moves forward.

I watched it this week didn't know about the death, and I REALLY enjoyed both the humourous Sam story and the tragic other spoiler one. I think maybe it was built up by the promos you watched but when it came I wasn't expecting it. And I really look forward to where it goes from here and who is responsible.

I don't know why it took so long but I finally saw the mid-season finale. Great episode and I like where they are taking the show. Such drastic measures this season that have really spun the format on its head to good effect. I hear its back in November, which isnt too long. I have a feeling Lem from the Shield isn't going to live too long!

Only a 13 episode renewal for season 7. I smell last season.
2 hour mid season premiere next week I believe.

I haven't watched yet, but it's on my DVR. Was in Florida all last week. Have a LOT of catching up to do.

2 hour premiere, but it was 2 separate episodes. First one was the better but both very good!

I'm 40 minutes into the first episode. Will continue when I get home. Should be done with it tonight.

I agree part one was better. But Part 2 had some good moments--especially the last 10 minutes or so, and the confrontation between Michael's mom and Nate's killer.

This weeks didn't disappoint! I guess there are only 18 more episodes left of the show considering next season is a 13 episode run.

They've basically set another new premise for the last few episodes. Lots of game changers this season for the show. Such a shame for a show to be renewing itself with new energy after 6 years only to be facing the end!
Turkey again? Turks and Kakos?

I have not. I'm not such a big Bond fan. I might have some time this weekend, but I tend to see them, and completely forget them within an hour, so I may pass.

The promos were intriguing and I was hooked. I recorded the two-hour episode. I watched it a few days ago but I was disappointed. There were a several subplots, none of which interested me. Without them, it would have been a great one hour show. I was also disappointed that his mom left (although maybe she immediately returns).
Based on the ads, I had expected to get hooked on the show, and set my DVR to record the rest of the season. But after watching that mid-season premiere, I deleted them without watching.

Is this the first time you're watching Burn Notice period? Have you seen it from Season 1?

I saw Burn Notice a few times during season one, but I hadn't watched since then. Still, I found the recent ads highly intriguing. I wanted to see more. I expected to love it. Not so. :/

Season 6 is almost entirely arc driven, so your enjoyment will depend on how much emotional investment you have with the characters. Seasons one to five were very self-contained and stuck to a format of client of the week as the A story and Michael being burned as the B story. Coming in now you've missed all the Burn Notice resolution and the major events (his brother dying, Fi sent to prison), can't imagine this season would mean much to anyone new.
