Wow ...88 ...he lived a full life. As a matter of fact Shatner and Nimoy aren't all that far behind him, and yet he looked quite a bit older than them in "The Doomsday Machine".
How'd you get wind of his passing?
A link would have been nice by the way.

What I liked about him was that he was an actor that cared about his place in Trek fandom--to the point where he appeared in a New Voyages episode. Been awhile since I watched it, but I think he reprised his role as Decker, who didn't die after all but ended up in the 20th century.

I believe he did play Decker again on New Voyages. Besides Trek he will be remembered for playing Doctor Seth Hazlett on Murder, She Wrote and for starring in one of the most off-beat TV shows ever, the comedy My World and Welcome to It.

I saw it, yes he played Decker, and it was pretty awful.
Thank God Fan Films don't ever get accredited as canon by the studios is all I can say.

You do realize that he was most likely paid for that appearance? And not for nothing, I liked the guy too, but I also recall his demeaning his role in "The Doomsday Machine" some years back and I specifically told you back then that the irony was that it was one of the roles he would be most remembered for, and that he was therefore trashing his own legacy.

I wonder how MUCH these actors are paid to do these things.
