I think we do need a new show and I always liked Trek's positive vision. I agree that the movie and TV franchises should be separate. As stated before, I have no problem with Michael Dorn making a TNG Direct-to-DVD film if Paramount allows it. This probably won't happen because Paramount is covetous to their own detriment.
