Hey, I may have started this thing, but the name isn't set in stone, so whoever picks something I like, wins.

Hey, I may have started this thing, but the name isn't set in stone, so whoever picks something I like, wins. How about "Trek in Exile"?

Dunno why I couldn't have Melinda Prime as my name. It wouldn't take it. Kept saying someone else has that name!

I still think I have a better alternative in mind for people.
I also don't care for the fact that the posts aren't threaded here, unless I just haven't poked around enough yet to notice where that features is, but it doesn't look as though there is one.

Not sure what you mean by not threaded posts. We all can start topics at will. You need to register as well.

Cram, FYI. I'm not logged in yet I can post. I went to Hector's site on here, and I *cannot* post or even read without first signing in. My name and password for your board doesn't work for his, so I guess I have to register to use his board. My point is, he must have figured out how to keep people out until they're registered.

I'm not too keen on having to scroll down through all the messages just to reach what's new here. Of course, on the board(s) I have in mind, it works basically the same way unfortunately.
And yes, I did sort of misspeak earlier when I referred to these boards not being threaded. What I meant is that they don't list posts the way the AOL boards do, which I kind of like and has come in handy from time to time.

I guess I post on other boards like this, so it's no big deal for me. That said, there's probably a setting that forces people to register. I'm going to see if I can get that setting enabled, but those of you unregistered can easily register, so it's no biggie.
It's a change in format, but not that big of a deal.

It means having to slog through a lot of posts if you read a message and then want to come back to it later to respond.
And it's nice to see that some wisenheimer joined with my original G7 Screen Name.
People think they're cute, but they're not.

Hmmm. I changed the setting that was supposed to require registering. I guess that's still an issue.
You should be all set now.

It's more like the AOL " Castaways" LOL
I still really like "Trek in Exile", but I think it's really up to Cram....

Yeah, but it's not so MUCH Trek in exile, as we are. Good thing we had a little notice.

AOL Trek Castoffs is appropriate....the only reason Crambam went to all this effort is that AOHell shut everybody out.

Hey, I may have started this thing, but the name isn't set in stone, so whoever picks something I like, wins. My question would be: Does it have to involve Star Trek per se? I'd rather it included all sorts of sci-fi tv/fantasy shows, from say "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" to Dr. Who. How about something like "Island of Lost Sci-Fi" Lost. Get it? Hee Hee. I am just so darned clever... ;D

Well, we do have Trek origins. Do you guys want an "other sci-fi" section? It doesn't take long to set up.
