There was an email all feature in the admin section, so it was sent. I'm guessing it went to the spam folder.
One interesting thing is that some people have different names here than on AOL.

Yeah, forum-wise I probably have more presence as MxxPwr (ie I'm MxxPwr on HuffPo), but AOL always wanted to slap my screenname in it's forums instead of a nickname.
Back in the day, I thought that was stupid, because I felt internet/forums/chat should always have some amoninty.
Then came Facebook...
