So tonight is the series finale of Chuck.
The most interesting fact about this is that once Chuck is gone, for what may be the first time since diapers, there will be no show that I watch on NBC.
I did enjoy Chuck. The first two seasons of that show were incredible, highlighted by Adam Baldwin. I think once Chuck learned kung fu, the show changed a bit. It was still a good enough show to watch, but it never quite lived up to the first 2 seasons.
Ultimately, I enjoyed the show a lot, and will remember it fondly.

I rarely, and I mean rarely, watch network TV. The last time I recall was March 2011, for what turned out to be the last episode of V. It was canceled May 2011. <sigh>

V committed what I considered the ultimate sin--it ended on a cliffhanger.
So basically, if you go by what happened on that show, humanity loses. The aliens win, and humanity becomes their slaves.
Great work.
As for Chuck, I HIGHLY recommend the show. At times, it was brilliant. The network was very good to this show, which is rare this day and age. It was always in ratings trouble, but the fans were very instrumental in saving it.
Meanwhile, as for the specific finale, overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, it gets a 9.5.
It was the best 2 hours of the show since the first 2 seasons. Very worthy exit. It had the ten until the final 2 minutes because they left a big question open. But even with that, ultimately, we know the characters will be all right.
I would LOVE a TV movie in a few years.

Wow, a 9.5 for a series finale! High praise indeed! I'll try to give it a look.
I rushed back here to correct myself. I said I don't watch network TV. Wrong! I watch Revenge religiously! I'm fascinated by that show. I forgot it's on a network because I watch the DVR, and don't pay attention to the channel.

I like Revenge too. Deserves its own thread.
Usually series finales disappoint with few exceptions. This one didn't. Like most shows, some seasons were better than others. The first two seasons of Chuck were absolutely outstanding. After that, the show changed a bit and while still a good show, it wasn't as good as it had been.
The finale recaptured what made the show great in the first place. It lost .5 because of a conscious decision by the writers that I didn't agree with, but it wasn't bad enough to derail the good work they did.
So it was not something like "Dr. Sam Beckett never made it home."

Reading that is fresh hell. It still breaks my heart.

I know. One of the worst finales of all time. There's a GREAT crossover fan fiction with Back to the Future that corrects that and does get Sam home.
