Yesterday, I watched Attack of the Crab People (yes, really; in fact the whole family watched it; it was fun). The third-ranked star is Russell Johnson.
The movie was directed by Roger Corman, and filmed in various Southern California locations. The characters said they were on an island in the South Pacific; the men had been stationed nearby during the war. The film was made in 1957, two years before Hawaii became a state.
