Recruiting for the board

I'm beginning to wonder if REDDIT may make a better place to post, or can perhaps also serve as an additional place to frequent in addition to here. The problem with this Forum is how small it is obviously. There are only about four of us who check in on a regular basis, and even when a few others drop by, they may not bother to post anything.

I know Blastr touched on REDDIT last week with a variety of other places for SF/Fantasy fans to frequent, but I happened by it again this afternoon separate and apart from that, and since it had caught my attention again, I began doing a little exploring over there. they have quite a number of forums that would be of interest to people here.

I didn't participate in this next thread, but only because I arrived there too late. But it's a good example of the actrivity there, although apparently they have yet to bring the next episode up for discussion.

So what do we do about this forum? There's hardly a blip of activity in any given week, and if people are content for it to remain that way, who am I to say things should change? However, it often feels to me as though this place is just falling by the wayside and is destined to be forgotten one of these days. There's my forum over on Reddit, which has an Ad running now that's helping to grow our subscriber base, and soon we'll surpass 5,000 subscribers. Not great, but obviously better than here, even though I'm not looking to plug my forum, which is why I'm not going to post another link to it in this message and will only do so if someone asks me to afterward. I am a little disappointed that Cram never bothered to drop in and check the place out at least though, and that a couple of you haven't stuck with it, but to each his own. I'm not looking to judge. We have conversations over there, but I wish there was more of that going on there, as does my colleague who I run the place with. I'm not necessarily opposed to plugging this forum there periodically however, even though I kind of like this forum as a sort of home away from home, but it should have more members. I'd also have to talk over plugging this forum there with my colleague first because it's only right. Ideally I would like to see both forums grow, but don't want to find myself doing it alone. You guys would have to also involve yourselves in some way, and by the way, there's nothing preventing any of you from posting articles in my subreddit also, even though I hardly ever see anyone but me doing that here.

I think it's more than about time that a strategy is developed to try and grow this place some though. If you don't care, feel free to chime in with a Nay if that's how you feel. I'd love to know what you guys are thinking about this.
