I stumbled upon this site last week entirely by accident when searching for something, and figured a few people here might find it of enough interest to want to check it out for yourselves.
Science Fiction & Fantasy Stack Exchange
scifi.stackexchange.com/
The Tags and Tag Links are what connects you to the various sections, such as for 'Star Trek':
scifi.stackexchange.com/?tags=star-trek
Apparently they have a huge member base, which means good potential for dialogue with other interested parties.

Apparently they're mainly interested in Questions and Answers, with a points and badges system for getting to the heart of the matter quickly rather than having a prolonged, ongoing discussion about anything in particular, but I suppose it too will have its uses from time to time.
I think Reddit is more geared toward the kinds of dialogues we're used to having though, because you can hold ongoing conversations there more readily and easily, although there too, they will die out rather quickly, in just a day or so, as everyone else moves on to peruse the newer, more recent thread topics. So that's just the nature of the best there too in a way I guess.
