Today our temperature will be a record high of 110 degrees, the same temperature as Death Valley. My fingers are crossed that our 35 year old air conditioner will hold up.
We moved here to enjoy four true seasons and snow. We knew that August and September would be really hot but that was a trade off we made for the snow. It's not supposed to be so damn hot in May and June! Not to mention, our last two winters have been bitter cold winters with no snow.

I hope your AC holds up. The older models are better because they put out more BTU of cold air. The newer "energy efficient" models end up taking a lot longer to cool down a room, and work a much smaller area. I love good AC when going inside is like a walk-in freezer. At work, all the ladies seem to adapt far too quickly to the AC and think it's too cold. In fact, even when its 100 degrees outside, they'll be running space heaters by their desks because they think it's too cold with the AC. -TK

Stay as cool as you can. The Summer has been cooler than usual here in Massachusetts so far. I'm happy about that because I hate hot weather.

TK, thanks for the words of encouragement about our old AC. So far, so good.
CB, I'm glad it's been cooler than expected where you are.
