RIP Yogi Berra

Rest in peace, Yogi Berra.

Yogi brought a lot of skill, entertainment, and additional joy to the game of baseball. He was one of the first reasons I fell in love with the game, and the Yankees. Yogi was married to his wife Carmen, for 65 years; she died last year. I'd like to think they're together again.

I was at Yankee Stadium last night for their pre-game ceremony. Of all the Yankee games I have been to, I have never heard the Stadium so quiet.

What a lovely tribute to Yogi. Apparently it was not planned, but the outcome was a still lovely remembrance of him.

You are so lucky to be where you can see the Yankees play regularly. I saw (too old now) them as often as I could on the West Coast.
