Mira Furlan was a gracious woman and a true beauty. I saw her in person at one of the New York Trek conventions. She was patient to everyone who asked her questions.

She was really good on both shows. The sci-fi community has lost another good one. Best wishes to her family and friends.

West Nile Virus. :/ Now, interestingly enough, this actor from the NBC show "The Blacklist" also died from it out there in California just a few months ago: www.msn.com/en-us/tv/celebrity/the-blacklist-and-twin-peaks-actor-clark-middleton-dies-at-63-after-contracting-west-nile-virus/ar-BB19JO6gSo what is going on out there that people are contracting this now? I remember when it first came here, when we actually had a good Mayor, they were spraying constantly to kill the mosquitoes carrying it. Now we have an incompetent mayor that is keeping things locked down here and is letting the homeless take over the streets of Manhattan, so my guess is deploying task forces with pesticides to combat this won't be anywhere on his priority list either when NY begins warming up in a couple of months. :[ God help this country. I think we're pretty much doomed at this point.
