Those are cool. I especially like the one of Pike with Hunter and Greenwood.
Seems like to me that the features of the newer crew come out more clearly than the older crew, except for Spock.

Now you can scroll back and read all our reviews. Not sure I put mine in this thread or another one.

While reading something about Driving Miss Daisy (1989), the director, Bruce Beresford, discussed casting the actress, and I flashed on STID:
''I was terribly insistent that we get an actress who was either the right age for the role or in easy reach of it. A lot of actresses who wanted to play it were in their late 40's and early 50's, and I said in the first place we're going to have a nightmare with the makeup and in the second place I think it'll be slightly absurd. It would be like Alec Guinness playing that Indian in 'Passage to India.' I thought it was so laughable."

I have my own issues with Reddit, which I won't go into right now, but I know most of you here don't bother perusing even the Trek group/section that they have over there, and I don't know why you don't look in to see what the latest things are that are being posted there. Yesterday someone posted a link to an article about "Into Darkness" that was supposed to be published in an Italian Star Trek Magazine, although it was rejected for being too negative (that after they asked the guy who wrote it to write one, knowing he was critical of the movie).
At any rate, here it is, for anyone interested --it is scathing, but not unduly harsh given the circumstances IMO.

God bless him for writing Trekkers instead of Trekkies.
(I've always used the former, and tried, in vain, to correct people about the latter. Btw, thanks, Denise Crosby, for Trekkies and Trekkies 2. You should have known better.)
It's a knowledgeable article and interesting. No wonder TPTB didn't approve of it. No one likes to hear the truth if it's not pleasant. Not to mention, they're sure his assessment is wrong, since the movies make money.
I wonder if the magazine used a less "negative" review to compare with the positive one, or if they gave up on the idea of comparing reviews.
It was such fun to see a ST article in Italian! Mi piace!

Here's a discussion about the film from Red Letter Media that really nails a lot of problems with it, and made me laugh which is always good. The thing about the tribble cracked me up.

I'll check it out when I get a chance. Hopefully the next movie will be better, though I have my doubts. I actually am one of the few that liked STID, but I get the flaws.
