Amazing career, and I don't think I've seen a single thing he has ever done outside of Running Man and one episode of the A Team.

Amazing career, and I don't think I've seen a single thing he has ever done outside of Running Man and one episode of the A Team. Surely you can't be saying you've never seen "Live and Let Die" and "Alien," the latter of which would be especially insane after all this time.

I saw Aliens, but not the original. That franchise never really interested me. And I'm not really a Bond fan either. Every Bond movie is the same to me.

I saw Aliens, but not the original. That franchise never really interested me. And I'm not really a Bond fan either. Every Bond movie is the same to me. I remember prior weird moments like this when I found myself questioning what kind of a sci-fi fan you were being that you were a classic Star Trek fan. I remember scratching my head in curiosity, feeling somewhat baffled by it. In other words, this isn't the first time you left me rather stunned like this. You really should see "Alien," and it's also rather perplexing that you saw James Cameron's sequel without ever then becoming curious enough to want to look at the original movie. The two are very different films. Cameron's movie is an action film, whereas Ridley Scott's original is more of a straight up horror movie. Both are good in their own ways, but I think I prefer Scott's original if I had to choose. More atmosphere, and creepier. But then he had to go and screw it all up with the sequels he decided to start making many years later. But the original film came out in 1979, one decade after TOS was cancelled by NBC. So you're really behind the times brother.

The sequel wasn't that big of a deal for me, and from what I was told, the sequel was better.
I don't remember much about Aliens. Right now, I'm actually watching the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman. The show isn't very good, but she is. It's kind of funny in a way because you can tell she isn't much of an athlete, but she still managed to look the part and convey a very cool heroine.

I hadn't heard that Yaphet had passed away. Thanks for posting that Gary.
I loved Kotto in many things, which started with Alien. Some other favorites are Midnight Run, and Homicide: Life on the Streets, and a cross-over role in Law & Order.
I've seen Alien more than 100 times (ditto for Aliens). I can't imagine not seeing the original Alien. To me, it's a perfect movie: Perfect script, cast, pacing, special effects, tension and levity, and music.
