I haven't read the article yet,but I have opinions: It might add a lot of viewers; Trek can use that. I love Pitt as an actor, so I'm okay with it.
Popped in to say I loved the movie, Army of the Dead. Love the premise, the actors, everything about it. Also, I'm loving the new TV series, La Brea. I know it's getting lousy reviews, but I'm riveted by it.
Lastly, Cram, I tried repeatedly to log on, and copied and pasted everything, but this site didn't recognize me. If I've been kicked out, maybe you could let me know. My email is melinda.tea@aol.com (secondary email; don't want to put the main one on here, since even people not signed in -- like me -- could read it!). If I'm not kicked off, do you know what the problem could be? Thank you.

OMG! **NOT** Army of the Dead! As a guest I can't edit a post.
I meant I loved every minute of the prequel, Army of Thieves, about safecrackers. I watched it more than once.
I enjoyed Army of the Dead, because I like Dave Bautista.

I just read the article. Brad as a Trek actor might sell a lot of tickets and Trek can use that. I love Brad as an actor so I'd enjoy seeing him, preferably on the big screen.
I dropped by to mention that I loved the movie, Army of Thieves. I loved the premise, the actors, everything about it. I know it's got lousy reviews, but I was riveted by it. I've watched it three times. Lastly, I really enjoyed the new TV series, La Brea, and I'm glad it got renewed for season two. Yes, it also gets lousy reviews, but I like all the actors, and the characters they play.

I could only see Pitt as a villain.

La Brea is fun show. It's a cross between Lost, and one of my favorite shows ever, Land of the Lost.

La Brea is fun show. It's a cross between Lost, and one of my favorite shows ever, Land of the Lost. I'm glad you're enjoying La Brea too! I remember you praising LOTL before. At the time it came out, I was starting a new career. I don't recall seeing ads for it, but maybe I did. Heck. At this point in my life, I don't recall a lot of stuff! I had planned to copy and delete my La Brea post, and put it under non-Trek, but I didn't get around to it. Dunno if you, as admin, can do that, or even want to. Thanks for deleting my "guest" posts.

No big deal about the guest posts. Land of the Lost is one of my favorite shows ever. As a kid, I loved it more than Star Trek. Not surprising since most of the writers of the first two seasons were actually from Star Trek. David Gerrold is the REAL creator of the show, even though he doesn't get credit for it. All the cool concepts came from him. The effects don't measure up to today's standards, but the stories do. It was known for not talking down to kids, and the show could absolutely work as an adult based show.
The first attempt to redo it came in 1991, but they didn't follow the rules Gerrold made, so it didn't work. And the movie was an absolute disaster. Imagine if in ST09, they decided to make it a comedy and cast Will Ferrell as Kirk. LOTL's movie did just that and it was that bad.
