Who didn't see this one coming?
Oh good grief. They've finally done it; they've race-bent Trek history. Which might not be a thing if this was an alternate universe, but even though so much doesn't line up they are insistent this is the prime canon timeline and this is a flagrant violation of canon. We clearly saw April and his wife in the animated series and they were white. And if you want to take that as non-canon, the official Chronology used a photo of Roddenberry himself to be April. I have nothing against black captains, and I know none of you do either. But it's not enough that a captain be Black, it has to be the FIRST captain of THE ship. Guess we should just be thankful they didn't make him transgender. But this is a flagrant canon violation and it's not racist to think so. Way to piss on all the good will I was going to afford them for this series. I guess I can dream that it's like that time Lois Lane went through the magic cabinet to be black for awhile and April will somehow change back to white for his appearance in TAS. What a ridiculous head canon.

What a ridiculous head canon. Canon means nothing to these people, and Trek is just a vehicle for them to spread their woke ideology. That's why I'm tuning them out more and more in my own head, to the point that eventually that won't matter at all to me anymore. Now, apparently, it's been implied that WWIII in Trek canon began with the January 6th, 2021 Capitol riot. Can it be more obvious what these asswipes are up to and what they're doing? Oh, and wait till you see the non-binary character that will be a regular or semi-regular character in "Strange New Worlds." My hind region. That wasn't the way the Enterprise in the Prime universe rolled.

I haven't got around to getting Paramount Plus yet. I'm doing a rewatch of the Orville, and when that's done, I will hit and run Paramount Plus. I want to basically be able to knock out SNW in a month, so I will start when there are about 4 episodes to go. I'm done with Discovery because I have no desire to watch the latest season. Every reason I had to watch ended. Plus I heard about the dumb Abrams thing.

I have an easier way around it. Think of this version of April as the TOS Klingons before Ron Moore screwed that up. They always looked the way they did with the ridges.
