Wahrheit, I'm impressed (jealous even) that you noticed Capt April's capitalized letters, and grateful that you asked.
April, I'm thrilled to not only have capital letters but I was even able to dump the number 1 after my name! Brilliant!
MANY many thanks to you both! ;D

Now if we can just get that "First Unread" bit so I'm not scrolling all day to catch up on things...

If you guys can find some sort of code that I can put in (like Carl found with the filter feature), I'll gladly do that.

If you guys can find some sort of code that I can put in (like Carl found with the filter feature), I'll gladly do that. And I'd be happy to help you look for it, so long as you refer to me by my screen name, since I don't feel like changing it to Carl1701 or some such nonsense.
What the heck is the point of our having Screen Names in the first place if people aren't going to use them? At least Mel had the sense to create one for her given name, since that's what she prefers to be referred to by.
I mean, hell, should I just start calling you Marc? Kinda defeats the purpose of Crambam, doesn't it?

It doesn't really matter to me either way, but I have no problem calling you Gary. No worries.
Anyway, you are 1 for 1 with finding good codes.

Can you believe those SOBs at AOL have kept the Money and Finance Message Boards up and running?messageboards.aol.com/aol/en_us/boards.php?boardId=365819&func=2&channel=Money+%26+Finance&refresh=true(Cut & Paste the Link into your Web browser if you must.)Gee, now why do you suppose they would do that --close down all the other message boards but keep the financial boards going fine and dandy? Could it be their way of saying, indirectly of course, that they were looking to rid themselves of all the riffraff??
Unbelievable --unfreakin' believable.

Maybe they wanted to jettison the riffraff. Or maybe it's an indication that the links on the financial boards pay off, and the links on the entertainment boards didn't. Or maybe AOL hasn't gotten around to dumping the financial boards. The notice was about entertainment boards only.

Or maybe AOL hasn't gotten around to dumping the financial boards. The notice was about entertainment boards only. And it could also be that they're looking to change the format everywhere to this for their boards:travel.aol.com/travel-forum/board/ab524a868e1142bbb2074a4addc33c0f#focusOr maybe, they won't change all areas to this format. Perhaps some or most of the boards have indeed been shut down for good, especially since they won't say anything one way or another to let people know.
Regardless, I don't like that format at all.

Gawd, that board totally sucks. Of course, if I lived in Philidelphia, I might like it better, if I was in the market for a stripper.

Down again as of this post. Cram, it seems your board here is more reliable than what passes for message board service over on AOHell. If anyone wants their posts seen, I'd just abandon AOHell completly. JOR-EL

Well, it's not run by AOL, so no silly rules.

I think they pissed a lot of people off by what they did, so a lot of longtime participants either just haven't returned, or are in no rush to, but it looks as though AOL learned from their mistake. They even went so far as to post a message to that effect pretty much admitting it.
As for "rules" --Geez, give me a break ...what "rules"? People curse on those boards now and the posts aren't even removed, the members responsible not even being taken to task over it.
There are no "rules" anymore over there for the most part.
This Forum is okay, but it's like its own private little Island.
And I don't think I'd take the advice of a disgruntled one-time board moderator who was handed his walking papers a few years ago along with all the other moderators that they had as part of their staff.
