This is a very cool video. It's hard to talk about things that happened recently because you don't watch Picard. If you liked TNG, and I'm guessing you did, then you would actually like Season 3 of Picard. It was the best Star Trek work since maybe DS9 season 5, not including novels of course. But it was absolutely clear that Terry Matalas, the show runner, loved ALL Star Trek, including the original series.

Dunno if you were speaking to me, but I tell you what. I have a LOT of things I need to get done. If I make a dent in them, I will reward myself by watching Picard. <3
I looked for Shatner's book, The Return, online. Didn't find it.

Wow, $20 bucks for a paperback. I'll treat myself to Shatner's book when the house sells. I never did get it on the market, alas for me, since I missed the hot real estate market and lower interest rates on home loans. But I'm hoping it will be on the market by mid-July. (It's hard to leave this idyllic site for Texas; no offense to any Texans here.)
Ah, I reread the first article. This is about Shatner's new video, and it will have a CGI Spock! Wow.
Where does one find the "Roddenbury Archive?" A search pulls up lots of them with different names, none with this new (to-be) video. Maybe it's on Paramount Plus? I'm going to look a P+ since maybe that's where the ST-P first two seasons are.
Hmm. Do I need to watch season two of ST-P to enjoy season 3?

CGI. Sure looks real.
Okay, I've long forgotten everything, but, I never understood leaving Kirk's body under a pile of rocks. Shouldn't his remains have been returned home? Just in general, but also because of who he was for all those decades? When Spock first visited him, I thought it was to take Kirk home.
Any idea when Shatner's new vid will be finished, or even started?

That was one of the bigger issues of the movie. Kirk was an afterthought. Shoved a few rocks on him and then the movie made a bigger deal about Data finding his cat.
Generations was awful. There are also some cool youtube videos out there that edit the movie so Kirk doesn't die. It actually isn't hard, because Kirk's death was meaningless.
