Posting links here is such a pain in the ass. Old-style, not easy --all too often a hassle.
And I know I've touched on this before in the past, more than once, but why not just create a forum on Reddit instead, Marc? Why haven't you at least considered doing that after all this time? It's a lot easier to post there, and there is at least the possibility of subscriber growth there, as opposed to here, where there's basically none.
We're on island here, out in the middle of the ocean, and no one passes or stops by.
It might as well be Gilligan's Island, but then again, at least they got the occasional visitors.
Geez.

I haven't really explored Reddit. I wouldn't be opposed to looking into it. All you need to do to get started is come up with a username and password for yourself and then join. Hell, you can look around first without joining. Creating a subreddit/forum would require a minimum level of accrued karma in order to be able to do that, but the threshold used to be just 50 karma points I believe. I don't know whether that's changed or not. I use 'Old' (Classic) Reddit most of the time, but most people use either New Reddit or a Reddit app to navigate, peruse, and post to the platform. The reason? “Hate speech”. Which it wasn’t. Heck it wasn’t even a sentence, just one word. And not a hateful word.
I have appealed, but have little confidence in the evil commie overlords to do the right thing.

Have you heard anything since? I just stopped discussing politics there to any extent whatsoever. The most sickening thing was when I posted a link to an article about Kirstie Alley's passing. That was the last straw for me, even though I wasn't discussing politics there by that point anyway, but the vermin over there took it as an opportunity to trash both me and her. Truly disgusting. What did you say that resulted in your being banned? And I assume you mean site-wide and not just in a particular subreddit run by a few miserable, unhappy leftists, which the vast majority of them seem to be. |

Yeah, they said they weren't reversing it after review. And the review process is a joke because you get only about 200 characters to explain yourself and why the ban is unjust. The subreddit had already removed the post. But apparently I was at 3 strikes with Reddit because of previous TOTALLY LEGIT comments about child sex changes. So this time, I got a "permanent suspension" which is a joke of a term since it's contradictory. How can a "suspension" be permanent? Basically I can receive comments but can't comment, post, or upvote at all. I had already been banned by AskReddit and a few other subreddits. Was wrongly banned by r/conservatives, though had a prior r/Conservative ban reversed some time ago by mods. So what did it this time? In the Christianity subreddit, someone asked a bait question "What harm does homosexuality do, really?" And I think the exact wording in the post was a challenge to name one real "observable harm caused by homosexuals". So I, partly to sidestep moral arguments and partly as a bit of dark humor that's technically correct, replied with one word: "Monkeypox." Which is DEMONSTRABLY and OBSERVABLY true, which is what the OP asked for. Maybe not itself caused by homosexuals, but definitely the wide epidemic spread was almost totally contained to gay men. So somehow homosexuals were uniquely spreading monkeypox, and that is an observable harm. But of course it was immediately viewed as hate speech. First it was removed from the subreddit, and then a week later and I was banned sitewide. Even though there was NO HATE intended or implied; it was a neutral observation of data. And most posts that tried to argue a Christian perspective regarding morality or sin or scripture or whatever were also removed by the mods. Which defeats the whole purpose of discussion, if you can just shut up the voices you disagree with, the very ones you were challenging to respond. Anyway, that's what happened. Monkeypox killed my Reddit account. An account that literally once had the best post of the day, that famously called out BLM in an AMA. Will I create a new account? I don't know. It's more an annoyance because if someone responds to an old post, I can't respond back. |

Well, that's how they work. You're not allowed to disagree or have a viewpoint of your own.
Look, I've known this about the left and their poison ideology for decades. Long ago, I foresaw where they were headed, toward a totalitarian mindset. It wasn't hard to figure out, especially when I saw them trying to shutdown people on the right online as far back as 20 to 25 years ago. I saw them doing it on Usenet, back when there was still a Usenet. They haven't changed - they've only gotten more radical and extremist, but the core of who they were was easily identifiable to me even back then. And so I blame the right also. After all, if I was able to see it, what was preventing them and the party movers and shakers from recognizing it for what it was also and doing something substantive to actually counter it?
Reddit is simply a microcosm of who these people are, and it's obvious one of the admins, or one of their moles, took a disliking to you and decided to follow you around, just looking for any excuse to have you silenced.
And what message board equivalent is there to Reddit really?
We can remember back to a time at which message boards were available on basically every platform. Then Twitter and Facebook arrived on the scene, and there went the boards.
Reddit was an alternative social media platform to Facebook based on privacy and anonymity. That was what allowed it to survive and thrive, but they all think the same, these people. Whether it's Zuckerberg, or the admins on Reddit, they're all cut from the same cloth.
And I've looked for Reddit alternatives, believe me. If you manage to find one that has a chance at succeeding, by all means let me know.
However, I could have told you that you were wasting your time in the conservative and Christian subreddits. For one thing, the moderators are caught between trolls that want to wreck those subreddits, and even have them banned and shut down if possible, and admins that are looking to break their balls and threaten shutting them down regularly I'm sure, and as a result, oftentimes they end up treating their own subscribers and active participants like shit.
And I don't think you should bother creating another account. For one thing, they'll know. Aside from which, they don't deserve the satisfaction. And why would you want to anyway? Do you really want to waste your fonts and breath on people that want to berate, harass, silence and ban you for saying what you think and speaking your mind?
No, look, they're out of their minds. These people are creating their own hell on earth, and I hope they get what they're trying to impose on the world so they can see how they like living in the misery they created.
Just look around you at what the left has accomplished and what they've already created here. Does this look like a healthy and prosperous country to you, or is it instead something foreign, ugly, and something it was never meant to be?
They deserve to drown in their own bile.
So don't feel so bad. They're the ones that are clearly deranged and sick in the head. Not you.
