I don't know if I like the idea of supporting J.J.-Trek in this manner.
Over at Blastr: Kirk and Spock outrun lasers in 1st look at new Star Trek game A trailer for the new Star Trek videogame, based on J.J. Abrams' rebooted Trek series, has been released—and it looks to be an effects-heavy, action packed adventure worthy of Kirk & Co. blastr.com/2012/04/kirk-spock-outrun-lasers.php

Have you read any of the IDW comics? They're pretty well written. Better than the movie--more in character.

I've only read a few, with the last one being "Khan - Ruling in Hell" the whole four-book series. I bought it as one complete volume. But again, that was based on the original, classic characters. I haven't read any dealing with the J.J.-verse.

They have been retelling the episodes with different twists and Kirk and crew deal with them.
While in most cases the original story was better, the JJ version characters were more true to form than in the movie. Plus, I actually thought the Operation Annhilate story was more interesting.
