Saturday, on the Biography Channel, they are airing a mini Star Trek marathon.
First up will be the 25th anniversary special, which I believe was pretty good. Next up, will be the 30th anniversary special, which I remember sucked.
Finally they are showing Captain's Log, which I have never seen. I'll record that one.

I think I have Captain's Log taped somewhere. It was okay.

I seem to remember it being a TOS retrospective that aired on some random channel like TLC. Interviews with cast, clips from the show, not much you haven't seen before but nicely put together. I think it originally dates from around 1994 or 1995, though I may have caught it as a rebroadcast.

Maybe I saw it and just don't remember because it's been such a while.

I thought Captain's Log was that new DVD where Shatner interviews all the captains including Pine. I could be wrong. I just figured they were finally airing it.

Hmmm... then it's certainly not the same thing I have on tape. But I do think I saw this when it first aired. It's so easy to confuse these retrospectives.

Missed the whole thing due to technical difficulties. Changed my cable box today, and for some reason, the Bio Channel didn't work. I had to call, get it fixed, but it was too late to DVR it. Oh well.

Oh well. I can send you a Link to "A Captain's Log" where it can be viewed online if you're interested, but remember that it's eighteen years old. The better Special, which I haven't seen and is a lot newer, was the one that followed and ran for two hours: "The Captains of the Final Frontier", and that one won't be airing again either apparently.

I caught a few clips of it. It was treating Braga and Berman as if they were gurus. Don't think I can stomach that.

Oh, God, I don't think I'd be able to stand much of that either, but that one was much newer and was done after Berman and Braga were already out of power (2010), so there's probably only a fairly limited amount of that type of fawning.
At least I'd hope so anyway.
