This is exactly what I had figured would happen, but didn't want to jinx it by opening my mouth, in which case, it wouldn't have happened, trust me.

That's about as good as we can ask for, except for a FULL season. I knew they were going to get 13 episodes, but I'll take it. It's better than nothing and will allow them to wrap the series up properly at least.

I caught in the AICN talkback! But news like this needs to be in my inbox It's great news but I wasn't surprised. When the exec producers talk positively about renewal you know that they already know, its just a matter of announcing. It would have been more of a shock if it was cancelled.

I'm ready for new Fringe. I wonder if William Bell is definitely coming back and I also wonder if they are going to bring the alternate universe back into the battle (although possibly not with only 13 episodes).

Just watched the premiere. How thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. Often shows start with a light opening episode, but this one pulled out all the stops and went straight for it. Exceptional performances all round.
