This is great. Yeah, Checkov and Janice weren't in the same seasons, but it's still great.

If you loved (or even liked, hell, even somewhat familer) with the old TV series 'Dallas' you'll get a kick out of this.... JOR-EL ROTFLMAO!!!!! And I thought "Star Trek Old School" was funny.... |

I knew "When I was 17" was from The Mike Douglas Show, despite imdb not showing them having a credit in common. (YT shows a MDS credit).
I saw Shatner on the show when he was promoting an album he'd recorded (probably with this song). On the album cover, he was surrounded a bunch of old-style stand up silver microphones, almost his height, which looked like he was being attacked by aliens.
But what I really remember is part of the dialogue. Mike gushed and gushed about Shatner's ST popularity, and asked why he wasn't capitalizing on it more. Before Shatner could respond, Mike said, "If I were you, I'd come out with a line of Captain Kirk's Jams and Jellies."
I thought that was hilarious. I still do ;D.
