And what of this news? Is it just me, or are we living in a world gone mad? I, for one, won't be watching.

Neither will I. Nothing against the actress but this is just PC pandering. The Doctor is a guy. Make a show about a Time Lady and I will watch but it's not Doctor Who.

It's been a long time since I've posted here. I see the last post was about Jodie's casting and PC pandering. We have had 2 seasons with her, and sadly, they completely ruined the show.
It went from one of my favorite shows on TV to something that angers me when I watch. So after last season, I decided to not watch anymore until there is a change of leadership.
The decline of this show is a perfect example of the PC garbage that has ruined entertainment. Any form of gender swapping is simply done for the purpose of making people mad--so that the people doing it can get on a soapbox and get fake outraged.
Doctor Who is a perfect example. Why not just make a show about a female timelord? A spin off.
But worse, the show went from fun Sci-Fi to promoting political agendas week in and week out, with a little man hating thrown in.
It's not a surprise that the ratings dropped with the quality.

It's not a surprise that the ratings dropped with the quality. Okay, so... apparently I was ahead of the curve on this one. I sensed where it would go and what they were up to, not that I'm a genius, but it was also clear what was happening with the rest of the culture. That being the case, and me being who I am, I didn't even watch Capaldi switch over to Jodie. I literally stopped watching it when I saw Capaldi's Doctor start to glow, and that was it because I refused to watch the changeover. So I have not seen 'Doctor Who' until Capaldi was moving out of the role. And I have no regrets at all, especially after all the things I have heard about the seasons that followed after I stepped away from it. So typical. And yes, the woke crowd has ruined just about all of entertainment. TV, movies, you name it. Hell, I'm surprised they haven't ruined games shows by now, unless they have and I simply haven't heard about it yet.

The last 2 seasons, since Jodie took over, have been absolutely awful, and in the last episode, they changed everything you know about The Doctor. It's almost like she's a brand new character and they discarded 50 plus years of history for their wokeness.
What happened was such a disgrace to the show. The worst part is the ratings tanked and they still don't get it.

The first female Time Lord is leaving the cult show with an "epic blockbuster special" after three seasons in the TARDIS.
Gee, what a freaking shame.
I can never go back to watching that show thanks to these two.

I know it’s an institution, but at this point it may be time to just bring it to one big end. They’ve already broken established rules. I haven’t seen any of the recent Who.

Define "recent Who?" As in, nothing since 1989, or nothing since Whitaker and Chibnall ruined the show?
It won't matter because the woke factor is going to continue.

As in apart from maybe 15 minutes, the only Who since 1989 I have seen is the Day of the Doctor special. And my knowledge of classic Who is almost entirely the First Doctor. I did see The Five Doctors, but haven’t really seen anything else from its heyday.

Ah. Well, I would highly recommend the 9th, 10th, and 11th Doctors. The 12th Doctor, played by Capaldi was ok, but not as good as the other 3 in my opinion. But once Chibnall took over, the show tanked. It's all about woke politics now. Apparently both Chibnall and Whitaker are leaving finally, but I don't know if it's going to matter. I don't think BBC got the message.

I quite liked this season, a six part serial. And I hate hate hate the time lord gender bending. But the flux series was pretty good. I wasn’t a fan of Whittaker’s first series and the second was so so. Some fun stuff. I quite like the timeless child backstory that has many Who fans up in arms. But I’m old enough to recall the Cartmel master plan from the 1980s, which was similar.
Russell Davies is taking over the show from Chibnall. I really liked the RTD era. - monica aka stfc luv from aol
